If you are thinking of studying abroad, this course specializes in preparing students for a good exam score. ELS Cape Town will assist students with their enrolment at a University or College in Cape Town. All foreign qualifications will need to be approved by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA). A study permit for the new institution will need to be applied for at Home Affairs. Students may be required to show results from a recent TOEFL exam. A university may also request for the PTEEP (Placement Test in English for Educational Purposes) to be written at the university.
Score results required:
- TOEFL = 570 paper based test / 230 computer based test
- PTEEP = minimum 65%
TOEFL ('Test of English as a Foreign Language') evaluates the ability of an individual to use and understand English in an academic setting.
*Please note that if a student would like to write TOEFL exam at ELS, their level of English MUST be Advanced.
